I have two monitors (a 1920x1080 22" and a 1440x900 19") that are connected to the dual DVI outputs on my Radeon 5770. My 22" HP monitor is connected to the first port and set as monitor one. My Samsung 19" is on the second port and set as monitor two.

When I click the button I have assigned on my Revolution MX for the App Switcher, it overlays the entire 19" monitor and spills over about a 1/4 of the screen on the 22". Hovering over windows causes the Application indication text to appear in the middle of the 22" screen.

This is making the entire app switcher useless as windows are thrown all over the place across 1 1/2 monitors with windows being split between them, indicators not easy to read, and well, just plain terrible.

After hitting up Google and other forums for the better part of a week, I now have come here to find out how the bloody heck to fix this. Expose is a feature that I do miss from my Mac, and contrary to what MS wants us to believe, the new Aero switcher in Windows Vista/7 is only good if you're Alt-Tabbing.

Revolution MX mouse

I also have the same problem.  Two displays:  1920x1080 40" hdtv and a 1680x1050 22" monitor.

This is a very annoying problem, if anyone knows how to fix it, that would be great.  I have the Performance Mouse MX, but must be an issue with the setpoint drivers/software.

I also have the same problem.  The switcher goes mostly on the secondary monitor and only part way on my primary monitor.  It should split the applications relative to what monitor they are opened on.

That or just on the primary display only.

simple solution is to go back to Setpoint 4.80. The application switcher worked perfectly in that version.

whoever came along and changed something messed it up as now everything bunches together to a single monitor making it hard to read instead of grouping on there respective monitor where the applications resides.

So to the developers, take a look at Setpoint 4.80, then take a look at the latest version of setpoint. I noticed this around version 6.

I had a very similar problem and I believe that I have found a solution.  First off let me state what my problem was so we understand each other.  When I would activate the application switcher the screen would show half of the applications off into screen space that didn't exist, so it wasn't displaying the applications properly. 

What I did to solve this was to go into the native windows screen resolution settings.  In Windows 7 all you have to do is right click on any empty space on your desktop and click on screen resolution.  Once in the screen resolution settings I was able to drag the second monitor (click on monitor 2 and hold the mouse button down) until the top edge of both monitors were aligned at the top.  Once I activate the applications switcher now all the applications show up properly on the screen.

In windows XP you will probably have to access either the NVidia control panel or the ATI Catalyst control center to align your monitors to the top of the screen.

As for what to do once the applications appear all you have to do is left mouse click on the application that you want to access.  I am very glad that I figured this out because this is the one thing I really like about working on the Mac that I occasionally use.

I just recently had this same problem with the application switcher of setpoint.  It all started after updating to version 6.2, I was able to find and reinstall version 4.8, and guess what...works perfectly.  I personally like my screen layouts and did not want to mess with my settings.

Found, downloaded and installed version 4.80.  The only thing that cannot be done in version 4.80 for me is remap the keyboard which is k800 wireless, which I will pick the application switcher over anyways.

It would be nice if I could remap the keyboard, but only the mouse shows up in setpoint version 4.80.

I just bought the Logitech Performance MX, and am experiencing the same exact issue. After looking around the Internet, I found that there were a lot of very disappointed people due to the lack of response and support from Logitech regarding this issue.

Some from Logitech believe that this is a "Microsoft issue," but I am here to tell you it is not.  First, let me qualify myself...I am a computer programmer and I do this for a living.  There is nothing preventing Logitech from fixing this problem except maybe the bottom line.

There is no OS limitation that prevents an application from working across multiple monitors with different resolutions.  I have used applications that accomplish the same goal, and have worked on some that do something similar.  It's easier to blame the OS because most people won't know any better.

I hate to be so cynical about Logitech, but the responses from their support team have been, in many cases, a bit rude and disrespectful.

With that being said, has anyone found a reliable solution to this problem outside of switching to an earlier version of the software?

Yeah. I have a four part solution.

1.) I now use a program called Switcher to do the job. A lot more flexible as well. I use UberOptions to allow much better configuration of the mouse and bind it to the otherwise useless "search" key below the wheel on my Revolution.

2.) After my Revolution MX, G15, and DiNovo's all die, I'm replacing them with Microsoft products instead of Logitech.

3.) ???

4.) Profit

I'm just sick of their software being 3rd rate with zero support crippled feature settings and such. That's $430 in just three components that I'm sure another company will be glad to have. I use a Logi USB headset as well, but we'll have to see if I can find another $70-ish price ranged unit that works as well... but hey, the issue is crappy software, not the hardware quality.

Good thing that the USB headsets don't need software. However, if the new version of the Harmony remote software is any indication... I'll need to be looking for other $200 remote controls as well.

As someone who switched from Microsoft to Logitech products i can tell you now that Microsoft products especially their mice are crap. After about a few months of use any one of their mouse that have that gel scroll wheel become gummy and sticky which renders it useless.

Microsoft have the software integration right on point though, their Intelipoint software allows users to map any button to any key combination globally or PER application without the need of installing third party applications. Their instant view (app switcher) is sort of an ALT+TAB where is shows all windows on monitor 1, and most of their mouse do not have a notched scroll wheel.

So in short Logitech hardware rules but software **bleep**, Microsoft software rules but hardware **bleep**.

If it wasnt for my K800 i would switch back to Setpoint 4.80 to get my Performance Mouse MX Appswitcher working as it should, as it did, as it still do since i use Setpoint 4.80 at work with only the Performance Mouse MX and Setpoint 6.30 at home with the Performance Mouse MX + Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800
