Re: Touch Mouse

I would like to add my suggestions too!

This would be an even better application if you had the option to use the Unifying USB receiver instead of Wi-Fi.

The Internet connection I have is really terrible in my apartment building. On top of that, I can not use my Wi-Fi as there are too many other signals going around. A perfect solution to this would be to use the unifying usb reciever I already have for my mouse!

Re: Touch Mouse - ports

I believe I also have a similar problem.  No documentation on this app at all (I guess that is because it is free).

My issue is when attempting to use this on the Cisco Wireless network at my office. Office usage is my main use case as I want to use it to control presentations, etc.  While in the office, with both iPhone and PC or Mac running server, I cannot find the server either by it picking up the name of the system or via the IP address.  My guess is that this is because the port is blocked.  Does the Mouse server use Bon Jour?

Re: Touch Mouse

How would you link to the Unifying USB receiver from your phone, though?  You phone doesn't broadcast over non-wifi...

Re: Touch Mouse - ports

Oops - didn;t read far enough down the post.  The following suggestions were offered:

  • Port TCP/UDP 4026 is blocked.
  • AP Isolation is enabled (could also be called STA Isolation in Linksys/Cisco)
  • Bon Jour is specifically blocked (which would likely encompass one or both of the above)

Re: Touch Mouse

Hi all, been playing with the Touch Mouse app a few days now and it's just as advertised. :smileyhappy: I'm a bit miffed by how it can't do horizontal scrolling on Win XP but it works fine on Win 7 though... Did anyone else encounter this issue as well?

Re: Touch Mouse

hi guys,

don't know if anyone else is having this problem: my touch mouse works fine until I open an application, then I can no longer control the pointer using the ipod and have to go back to the laptop track pad. It only seems to work for me either on the desktop or an open webpage.

Any suggestions?

Re: Touch Mouse

im having a problem as initially when i used touchmouse when i got my iPhone 3G all was fine (i was using Vista x64 then) but now when i use it its responsive for like 2 seconds and then it becomes choppy on and off. I dont really get why, i even set up a wireless network with another router i have within my own room. the computer is connected to a gigabit switch which is hooked onto the router which then hooks up to the ADSL modem in the other room. I also tried it with iPhone 4 and does the same thing. Anyone know what it might be?

Thanks
