Hello everyone. The right button of my MX400 has started not behaving properly and i am trying to get a new one. I looked for another MX400 but i only found one on ebay but the seller doesn't ship to my location.
I found the M500 which looks very similar to the MX400 except for an extra scroll. It looks nearly identical to me so i just wanted some help in clarifying any differences between the two other than the extra scroll. For example are they both laser or is the m500 optical? Thanks for any information you might provide.

Hello Butcher851
The M500 Mouse uses a laser sensor. The MX400 mouse can be connected via ps/2 and USB while the M500 only connects via USB. The MX400 has a normal click to click scroll wheel while the M500 mouse has a scroll wheel that has 2 scrolling modes, click to click for normal scrolling and hyper fast scrolling which is good for scanning long documents or sites.
