My mouse just stopped working, and I was horrified to find that it can not be replaced. Please, logitech, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Make this available again! I am buying a different brand to tide me over until you come to your senses. Awful decision, enriching a bunch of profiteers selling the original for ridiculous prices, and a total disappointment to loyal users. My first logitech trackball was blue. I am not happy to have to go elsewhere. Your improved versions do not interest me,

Count me in among the complaintants! I love this model trackball and can't believe Logitech stopped making them. Now you can only find them for over $100. It's criminal.

My wheel is going bad.
They just don't make them well anymore.
The style is the best - I hate moving a mouse around, and hate finger-rolling the other types.
Even though they are super cheaply made, for the money they charge, I would keep buying the Trackman Wired.
There must be another manufacuterer willing to make these....

Add me to the list of people who registered on this forum, simply to reply to this thread. My corded TrackMan Wheel is about to die after 10 years, and I need a replacement.
The great thing about a trackball, is it doesn't move around, so the cord never gets tangled, or in the way. In fact I have my cord hidden and zip ties to keyboard cable. The point is, unlike mice, there is almost zero advantage to a wireless in a trackball, just the added headache of batteries and losing a dongle.
If you have to make wireless, please make it blue tooth, so I don't need a dongle! Calling your RF receiver the "unifying receiver" is ridiculous attempt to lock people into Logitech. Bluetooth is way more universal than your rf dongle. Sure there is a small licensing fee for using bluetooth, but suck it up. Pass the $1 fee on to the consumer. I would sure as heck pay a couple extra buck to get a blue tooth over some proprietary Logitech BS. I refuse to buy and Logitech product that has the Unifying Logitech Lockin Technology.
Also by reading these threads, it is obvious that there is a large wave of people who have had their Trackman's for a long time, and now they are finally starting to die, and the demand for them has gone up again. There may have been a lull in previous years, as everyone held on to the one they had. The whole baby-boomer-bubble analogy.
Please give us a corded or bluetooth version.
Does anyone from logitech actually read these posts? Echo... cho... cho... cho..

I recently bought a wireless version to replace my old Trackman Wheel. To tell you the truth, I'd rather have the corded one back. My mother has a logitech wireless mouse, and her receiver keeps picking up my mouse and vice versa. What a headache! My first Trackman lasted me 7 years, I believe (perhaps more) and the second one only lasted about 3. I, too, am a spreader of the Trackman wonderfulness. I've converted at least a dozen people, most of whom have more than one for home and work both. Many of my converts have converted others, so I'd say I've singlehandedly led to a fair number of your mice being bought, especially considering I live and work in Silicon Valley. ![]()

I am yet another person that created a Logitech account JUST to add to this thread. I have been using my wired trackman wheel for the past 5 years, and I'm sure I would have been using it for longer had a certain toddler not have broken the sensor on mine. Nevertheless, eventually the time would come that I would have to replace it. This time is now.
I was literally shocked when I found out the trackman wheel had been discontinued. I frantically searched on EVERY website I could just to find one at a price that wasn't ludicrous - but to no avail. I began to pray for maybe some sort of replacement for the trackman, and saw the m570.
I looked at it and at first deeply breathed because of my relief that there was indeed a successor to my beloved trackman wheel. Then I read the name of the product: Logitech WIRELESS Trackball M570. At that moment I just couldn't believe my horrible luck. For some inexplicable reason, Logitech decided against making a WIRED successor of its famous and amazing trackman wheel.
Long story short, I simply want - nay - I NEED a wired trackman wheel. Having another wired trackman wheel would simply be amazing. I know, however, that Logitech probably won't begin to manufacture more of the old trackman wheels now that they have discontinued them. Hey, I'd be more than happy to buy a WIRED version of the m570, in fact I'd be ecstatic. A new version of my beloved wired mouse WITH a few more buttons? Simply awesome.
I really hope you reconsider your decisions of discontinuing the wired trackman wheel/manufacturing only a wireless version of the m570 Logitech, I really, truthfully do.
