hmm lachesis or g9

any opinions on what is better? ive just purchased the pieces for a new pc and ive decided 2 make a new desktop (mouse keyboard and other) i have already bought a belkin n52te and literally the day after i ordered it logitech decided to rain on my happy parade and release their **bleep** g13 which im not trying not 2 like (btw logitech its to low the keys arent grid enough the lcds a waste of gimicky money the thing you call a joystick is really just a hat whitch kind of limits its ability) and for a keyboard im almost certainly going for a razer lycosa (**bleep** fine) if u can think of a beter blue backlit black shiny gloss with rubberised keys keyboard please tell me btw g11 and 15v2 are horrible the 15v1 was great so anyway back to the mice price is a big factor here but  so is comfort and features the g9 is about $10-$20 dearer then the lachesis but my main problem with it is it doesnt have weights im not sure about the ergonomics and it is as logitech like (dumb remark) though the lachesis does look cooler oh and the dpi does not make a difference to me because im not planing on going in 50 circles in 1 second

so what do u think i should get to complete my desktop? (keep in mind i wont be able 2 get a eel of a lachesis or g9 prior 2 buying and ill have 2 wait a bit longer to get the g9    oh and what are your thoughts of mousepads that work well or unwell with  these mice? I NEED CHEAP ONES stupid stick shift yea thats right im so lazy ill write more rather then go back and fix my mistake

ok now tell me what u think

Re: hmm lachesis or g9

G5 ver.2 (Blue) mouse is the best Logitech mouse money can buy IMHO (and PC Gamer/MaxiumumPC/CPU Magazine's).  I use it without issue or regret.

If you can't get one of these (I got mine at NCIX for $39), then the only other mouse to consider is the SteelSeries Ikari Laser:

Many consider this the best gaming mouse money can buy, period.  $79.99 last time I checked NCIX.

Re: hmm lachesis or g9

I own a Razer Lachesis and it is really great.  One of the big differences in the 2 mice are the ergonomics.  The lachesis is more symectrical, so it be used either right or left.  The G9 is for the right hand only.  This is a big factor for most folks.   The DPI for Lachesis is 4000....which is sick fast.  I play BF2142 and have my max set at 2250.  But 4000 dpi with 1000 polling this thing is smooth.  I hope this helps.

Re: hmm lachesis or g9

Ok, I will break it down for ya.  I consider my hands on the larger side.  The lachesis is a little small in my hands, but I play FPS games and use my fingertips to move the mouse.  The lachesis has a much lower profile than the G9.  If you like the palm grip for your mouse than go with the G9.  But I can tell you the lachesis is one bad mofo.  I had never heard of Razer until I started looking for a mouse.  I was always a trackball player.  But this mouse has blown my socks off.  The GUI for the lachesis is really user friendly.  You can custom set the dpi for each interval.  From 250 to 4000 dpi.  I would suggest going to a best buy and checking out the lachesis, to see if you like the feel and design. I hope I helped a little better this time.  Good luck and see you on the killing fields.
