I just bought a m305 wireless mouse and it doesn't work with my macbook pro. My mac is not detecting the usb receiver at all. The strange thing is it works with every other mac computer in the house. I already contacted customer support and they are sending me a replacement receiver, but I wanted to try a few more things. I recently found out that if I plug in a USB extension cord and the receiver into the extension cord my mouse works. It's only when the receiver is directly plugged into my macbook that it doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

Hello seanw13,
From your description this is a system specific issue . Please post an update after you get the new receiver .

Hello shreevathsan,
Please plug the receiver in to a different USB port , directly in to the computer ,disable an external USB hub or pass through device for trouble shooting . Remove the battery and with the battery removed alternately click left/right for 30 seconds and replace the battery . The green light on the top of the mouse behind the scroll wheel stays on only for a few seconds when the mouse is first powered on or "awakened" if you see a red light instead of green that means the battery is low. If this mouse continues stop working please contact Logitech Customer Care for your region.
Best Regards,
