pairing m705 mouse with unifying receiver

I have several logitech products ranging from keyboard, mice, trackpad and even universal remote. overall they all work great. I'm having a challenge re-using an older m705 mouse with a newer unifying receiver. I know the m705 works with a unifying receiver simply because my primary computer has it and it pairs no problem (my primary computer has an illuminated keyboard, track pad and m305 mouse)

I have unpaired the m705 mouse from my primary computer (weird enough even after un-pairing it and device is removed from the connection app, confirmed the mouse still function on the desktop....) anyway, so when I try to pair it to another unifying receiver it never completes. Incidentally, the second pc is linux runnin fedora 17. I have confirmed the computer recognizes the nano receiver on the usb port see below. So my question is how do I force a new sync or is there somethng I am missing to un-pair and pair the m705 with a different receiver?

Thanks

Re: pairing m705 mouse with unifying receiver

Hello delrey,

The Marathon Mouse M705 is not fully supported by Linux, check out the following FAQ:

Supported operating systems for the Marathon Mouse M705

However, you can try pairing the mouse with the Unifying receiver on a different computer and then connecting the devices on the Linux computer.

I hope this information helps :smileywink:
