"No Logitech Device Found" message in LCC? Please read

[ Edited ]
Hi all,
We have fixed several of the issues being reported in the forums and are still continuing to do so.  One issue that we'd like more information on to fix is the "No Logitech device found" message that appears in LCC when your Logitech device is working just fine.  We would like it if you could gather some information on your computer and send them to us.

1) Make sure the Logitech device is supported on the Mac.  If it isn't, you will get that message.  You can go to www.logitech.com and see if your product has Mac support listed in the Specifications page or go to www.logitech.com/downloads and see if LCC is available for download for your product.

2) Capture the System Profiler information.  Also, grab the name of your Logitech product and the P/N number on the bottom of your device.

3) Once you have gathered the information, please post on this thread that you have done so and you will receive an email.  Reply to that email with the attachments indicated above.  Once we have gathered enough information, we will close this thread and update it with new information as it appears.
Once again, your help is greatly appreciated and we are working on improving LCC.

Hi,

I've gathered all the info below and would like a reply email from you folks so I can send you the information/attachments.

- Logitech s530 Customer

1) Make sure the Logitech device is supported on the Mac. If it isn't, you will get that message. You can go to www.logitech.com and see if your product has Mac support listed in the Specifications page or go to www.logitech.com/downloads and see if LCC is available for download for your product.

2) Go to Article 7195 on our support website. Use the KPDump utility provided there and capture the System Profiler information as indicated in that article. Also, grab the name of your Logitech product and the P/N number on the bottom of your device. Please do NOT use the email address listed in that article.

I have the same problem. I realize I have a g5, which is not supported by mac. Am I sunk, or will there eventually be a driver release? Thanks

Re: "No Logitech Device Found" message in LCC? Please read

I have loaded the latest software LCC on my iMac (Leopard) and the LCC does not find anything. I made sure I loaded it without any previous mouse programs on. It is still unable to find my mouse. I have had this mouse for about 5 years. For the two years I have had this mouse in my iMac I have been unable to program the middle button. I am considering a new Logitech mouse but am unsure of the compatibility with my computer.

Without a new driver, you should consider another brand. Good hardware, horrible drivers
