Microphones (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I've had the Ak7530 for a few months and this problem has only recently come up. When I talk the audio comes out slightly distorted some of the time, and nearly hidden under a bunch of rapid clicking noises the rest of the time. I've tried fiddling with the audio options but nothing has worked so far. It'll come in clear for a few minutes then go right back on to clicking.

I doubt it's something wrong with the mic as I experienced the same problems with a USB headset microphone combo months ago.
