Ok, I still haven't got this to work.
My system specs are:
Intel CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHZ
Abit IP35-E
Sparkle GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB
2 x A-Data 1GT DDR2 800MHz
Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Under Control Panel - Sound - Recording, the microphone is set as default and under properties - levels, the volume is set at max. I also checked that the mute button/switch is not on.
When I go to Set up microphone(under Control Panel - Ease of Access - Speech Recognition options), the computer cant hear anything I say into the mic.
What can I do?

Hi Pop,
Just to be clear, this a headset with 2 3.5mm plugs. One marked with the symbol for headset and the other marked mic. They plug into your sound card.
The mic will show up as your sound card mic in.
If you have checked all your settings on your sound card and ensured all your sound card drivers are up to date and you still have no mic function, please call Technical Support.
Logitech Customer Support for further assistance.
You can also Email Us
Regards,
Mike
