Problem with Logitech USB Desktop Mic

I just recently purchased the Logitech USB desktop mic, and I'm having a serious problem with it. I plugged it in to the USB port in the back of my computer. The green power light turns on indicating the mic is up and running. But when I speak into the mic, no sound is transferred. The computer doesnt even show that any sound is getting through! What's the deal?

Re: Problem with Logitech USB Desktop Mic

Test your microphone on Windows Sound Recorder on your PC and let us know the result.

1. Click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment and choose Sound recorder

2. Click record button and speak to see whether the green line moves to indicate the application picks the sound.

3. Click on Stop button and Play to check the sound. Make sure the device is selected

4. Click Edit Then Audio Properties and make sure that the correct device is listed as preferred device for Sound Recording.
