Microphones (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I've been using a mic on and off forever now. Never had any real problems with them but this is just annoying and strange. I started using a mic again recently to talk in teamspeak. It worked for a while and then overnight one day just stopped working. Checked everything out with sound settings, seemed fine, but it wasn't just on teamspeak, it didn't work on anything. Came to the conclusion that it had to be the mic. Luckily I had a spare mic and so I plugged that in (both logitechs) and it worked fine. Cool. Not really, because within a week the same thing happened with that mic. They were both used for a while so I said okay maybe it's just coincidence. I went out and bought a new mic. It worked for about 2 weeks and then the same exact thing happened. It just stopped working. It must be my computer but I even system restored to a few days before it stopped working and it still didn't work. What could the problem possibly be? Because frankly I've run out of possible answers.
