Hi,
Windows 7 has all the drivers necessary to run the USB microphone. Please check your installation and try to find another computer to test it on.

The information in this post might be useful...
Just force install the Generic "USB Audio Device" driver. Worked for me!

I have a Logitech desktop microphone that I've used successfully with Windows XP and Vista.
With Windows 7, when I plug in the microphone, the computer recognizes a new device, and eventually indicates it is installed and ready to use. However, the green light on the microphone never comes on. When I record, the laptop microphone is receiving the sound (not the Logitech mic).
When I went to the Device Manager, selected the device, and had windows look for updates to the driver software, it indicated the driver software was up-to-date. (Microphone still didn't work.)
Then I followed the advice on this thread (I browsed drivers, selected Generic USB Audio driver, and installed). This did not work either. Still no power light. When the microphone is plugged in, my recording is a flatline. When I unplug it, the laptop reverts to its internal microphone and I get recording (low sound quality).
Logitech, please offer something more than, "It should work." I've used this microphone for years with no problem. The microphone is not broken, and the drivers indicate up-to-date. That does it for the obvious solutions. Please help ... thanks!

Hi,
Since the mic works in Vista and XP machines, the issue is obviously your installation of Windows 7.
Go to Device Manager, select the mic and delete it. Scan for new hardware and IF the USB drivers supplied by Microsoft were installed properly the mic will be installed.
