Microphones (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I just Bought the Premium USB Headest 350. I went through all the steps and the mic works with all windows applications. I can hear my self in voice recording but get a error message with ventrilo. The error message is "InputFindVolFader failed (-1) for non-Mux based mixer".

If anyone can help me please let me know. I use ventrilo for gaming and dont want to have to return this mic for a Soundcard input mic.

I am having the same problem, I have tried every combination I can think of as far as uing the mixer not using the mixer and what not. This happened all of a sudden yesterday after having the headset work fine for a year. I have unistalled the USB drivers for the headset and reinstalled them, I have searched everywhere for a version new then 2001 with no avail.


I have searched the web and have seen hundereds of post reporting the same problem, but no replys on how to fix it.


I am running a

Amd Athalon 64 3800+
1.6Gig's DDR2 400 Memory
Logitech G15 Keyboard
Logitech MX Revolution mouse
Antec True Power 550Watt Power supply
ATI Raideon X850Pro Video



PLEASE Let Us know Asap the fix to this problem, if there is not a fix let me know so I can go pay for a mic that works from a company that respondes to these kinds of question.


Either way I am calling tech support on monday and if they do not have a solution then I will simply take my headphones back and all the rest of my $400 worth of logitech products

You might need to contact Ventrilo in regards to this. Since the microphone works well with all windows application, this clearly indicates that the microphone is not faulty. The error you are experiencing this specific to the Ventrilo application.
