After just buying a Harmony 200 I have spent over an hour trying to get it to be recognised by MyHarmony. The remote is recognised by my PC (XP), I have connected and reconnected multiple times, tried different computers, switched batteries and switched off virus and firewalls all to no gain.

I have seen this is  common problem, but don't seem to have come across a solution that works.

Any suggestions appreciated to avoid having to return this remote to the store.

Hi Confulog, 

try to place your remote on safe mode then try to sync

Press and hold the number 2 while re-inserting the batteries or press and hold the off button while connecting remote to your computer
