Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

I'm having the same problem!  I tried the reset of the remote with the power button while removing the batteries.  My computer was able to recognize the remote again, but it failed a 99% sync like everyone else.

Got the 4 flashing lights when I cancelling the sync prematurely (on my Win7 x64 computer which is having problems recoginizing the remote through myharmony.com), that's what caused the blinking.

I hooked the remote up to my older WinXP x86 desktop and was able to sync the remote on myharmony.com, that got rid of the blinking lights and returned normal functionality.

I still can't solve of the driver issues under Win7 x64, which causes myharmony.com to fail to recognize the device.

Me too. Been working fine for 5 months and now just frozen with device lights flashing. This remote replaced a logitech 515 which was also cactus. Has anyone managed to get theirs working??

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

I've had the same issue as well. I'm on my second harmony 300. The first lasted around 6 weeks before it went totally dead. 2 separate computers would only recognize it if I did the battery trick (hold power while inserting the battery-I was told by support that this was "safe mode"-not that you can do anything with it once it's in safe mode), but wouldn't sync. It would hit 99% and then say "please reconnect your remote." I had that one replaced under warranty, and I've been using the replacement for 2 weeks or so. It stopped functioning last night, so I swapped the batteries out, and now it's doing the 4-light flashing thing too. I'm not sure why the programming of these things seem to be so fragile. I can't understand for the life of me why there isn't some sort of factory reset procedure. I've had an old sony universal remote for 10 years that can be blanked out if you hold the right button combo when inserting the batteries. Logitech engineered a safe mode into the harmony 300 for a reason, but they don't seem to have any reset capability from within that mode. I guess I'll be calling tech support this morning to get it replaced (again). I don't know if they just got a bad batch of remotes, or if the software it runs is just a dog, or what, but there's no reason to have 2 of the same product fail within 8-9 weeks.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Hi,

Just for the records, I've just spoken to someone from Logitech support services and it seems that this problem requires the remote to be replaced.

I'm wondering what if this happens when the guarantee period is over...

Regards,

Haritza

For those Harmony 300 remotes with the 4 Devices buttons flashing, try this, remove the batteries, then while holding the Number 2 button replace the batteries.  Don't hold the Favorites 2 button but the Channel # 2 button.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Thanks rhachey but that didn't work for me at least.

As I said, support says that there is no fix for this. Only replacement.
