Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Yup, my Harmony is revived!

Holding the Power-Button, while inserting the batteries, lights were flashing fast, then plugged in via USB, did the sync,it went trough till 100% and now it works fine again! Nice!

What was this afterall? Y2K for a remote-software?! I'd like to know what caused this.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Dears,

for me above issue is closed too.

I think that logitech made some modifications of myharmony S/W.

Thank you!

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I would like to confirm what some of the previous posters have already found out. The issue with the Harmony 300 only blinking the My Devices buttons has been fixed.  If your remote is affected, please follow these steps to restore functionality.

1.    Remove one of the batteries from the remote.
2.    Hold down the Power button and reinsert the battery.
3.    The remote will repeatedly blink the ‘My Devices’ buttons three times to signify it is ready to Sync
4.    Go to MyHarmony.com and log into your account.
5.    Connect the Harmony 300 to the USB cable and click Sync.  The firmware will be applied to the remote.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

I got a brand new 300 and I'm trying to configure it for the first time.  The "My Devices" light keep blinking.  I tried the press-power-button-while-inserting-battery thing  but the Sync Remote screen is stuck at "initializing" and the lights are blinking.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

In response to the four button flashing--  The tv, cable, dvd, vcr buttons all started flashing after i synchronized.  I couldn't do anything, and found a lot of people had problems with this on this thread also, so i got a little worried.  So i just tried syncing again and it actually worked.  the flashing went away and now the remote is back to normal.  so this flashing i guess could mean different stuff for different remotes.. weird. Good luck.  I hope this helps you guys.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Hi,

I found this solution did not entirely fix the problem, but my solution builds on the this solution and worked for me.

1. Following the steps as described in DaneHarmony's solution.

2. Remove and reinsert a battery in the unit. The blinking lights will stop.

3.Connect the unit via USB cable and click sync.

4. Unit synced. I am at peace with Logitech again.

I like the Harmony remotes very much, but they are so poorly supported.

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Spent hours searching forums to find the answer to correct my Harmony 300 crashing at 80% download. The only surefire way I have found is to press and hold the power button while replacing battery. Then continue to hold down the power button until the download passes the 80% point. Release the power button after this point and the download achieves 100% and remote is ok.

Not sure about the firmware upgrade, if this is automatically downloaded but the standard download process still crashes at 80%.

Hope this helps others.

Regards,

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

Any of the fixes in this threat did not work....after safe boot by power button, sync always crashes at 80% saying that there is error in communicating with the device...and lights keep flashing!!! Any ideas????

Re: Harmony 300 light flashing

I just bought Harmony 300i remote today and while trying to sync it on myharmony.com, it's getting stuck at 99%. When I try to upgrade the firmware accoring to instructions above, it always stops at 80%. How can I get this thing working? I tried with two different PCs running Windows XP.
