If your 4 device buttons are flashing, it means the the 300 is in Safe Mode, remove the batteries, then while holding the #2 button, replace the batteries.

Ladies and Gentleman.. I have a solution. This worked for me so I know that it works in my case. I bought the remote off a friend of mine because I already had one so I wanted a second one for a different room. I connected it, added devices, and tried to sync when the 4 lights started flashing.

I tried to pull the batteries and hold the power button then put the batteries back in... No luck

I disconnected the remote from the computer. Completely signed off of my harmony account. Logged back in and it showed I had two remotes, one of which was still in process of setting up. I clicked the "in process" remote, connected the remote, and clicked the blue sync button at the top right hand corner. It paused a second on 99% which caused me to think it wouldn't work. Well, low and behold, it hit 100% and works perfectly fine. No more blinking lights. I hope this help. Best of luck everyone.

I have the Harmony 200 and also had flashing lights with no remote response of any kind. After trying batteries and also a successful sync with my computer I still had no luck. This worked though!! Took batteries out then HELD the 2 button while putting the batteries back in.

To be honest I read a lot of forums both for my job and also for personal reasons but RARELY do I give credit. Thanks kindly for this little trick.

For those Harmony 300 remotes with the 4 Devices buttons flashing, try this, remove the batteries, then while holding the Number 2 button replace the batteries.  Don't hold the Favorites 2 button but the Channel # 2 button.

This did it for me kinda i did that the lights where flashing instead of 4 times in a row 8 times in a row so that meant it was totaly resetted then i hooked it back to my computer and restarted the sync and 100% it totaly fixed the problem
