Harmony 300 remote will not connect to Myharmony.

I am currently on a 32bit vista system, but I also tried on a 32bit xp system with the same results as follows. I connected the remote to the computer the driver installs successfully and the computer recognizes the remote, myharmony.com is then opened successfully but will not register the remotes connected to the USB port. Ive done all the help on the pages on this site, and also have searched online for a couple of days now, updated everything including windows ( on both computers) and silverlight as well, but to no avail. Could someone please help me? I don't understand what else I could do other than get another remote.

I suspect I am having the same problem, It gets to a screen "Setup Overview" (which is not listed in the FAQ!) and when I press Next nothing happens. Is this the point at which it should find the device? If have tried different USB ports, disconnected and re-connected, rerun the browser etc. I have not disabled anti-virus because I refuse to connect to the 'net without anti-virus active - if that's what's required then the device is effectively useless.
This is Vista 32 bit, but the behaviour in Windows 7 is the same.
[What's with a captcha that displays characters not on the keyboard, like micro and delta or cyrillic charcters?]

Im in the same boat as everyone else here! My computer reconizes the remote, but the myharmony.com won't even pick it up! I have also done all of the suggested tasks...

Was all securty software disabled (including Windows firewalls) and a back/powered USB plug used? (On laptops try the USB closest to your power supply)

I am yet another bloke stonewalled with a useless Harmony 300. Catlogitech ... since Thegivetz started out by saying he/she's already tried everything the help/knowledge base suggested ... reiterating (all of that) is completely useless advice. How about supplying some information beyond that which we've all tried ... which hasn't worked?
WinXP, Vista, Windows 7 ... are all recognizing the USB device ... yet the myharmony application isn't acknowledging it ... so, what next??????????? Firewalls and pop-up blockers are not the issue ...

Just bought a 300 today and will not recognize the remote as the others. It seems the recognition software or add on for firefox is not compatible with firefox 7 and will not install. Logitech needs to update their software. I even tried Microsoft Intetrnet explorer and Logitech's software is not compatible with explorer 7.
This is going back to the store, what a waste of time.
