Have just brought a Harmony 300 remote, have loaded the software ok, but when i go to sync it stalls, unplugged the remote, sync disappears, plug it back in and sync restarts but stalls.

I have tried 4 different computers running either XP SP2, Vista or Win 7, all with firewall and virus scanner disabled, also have tried every USB port on all computers, tried restarts, logging back into MYHARMONY, restarting my browser, nothing works.

I can get all computers to recognise the remote, sync starts goes to initializing and the sits there.

I am to the point of taking the remote back for a refund unless someone can tell me what to do.

o.k have checked for Microsoft Silverlight, both computers with win 7 and XP PRO loaded have an up to date version of Silverlight loaded, still no go with syncing the remote.

Had this problem also, found that the only way to complete the process is to;

1..remove batteries

2..press and hold the power button and while doing so install batteries, keep holding power button

3..with down load in progress continue to hold power button down until progress passes stall point about 85%

4..release power button just before 100% reached.

Works for me, good luck.

The sync process stalled for about 20 minutes before I used this. Once I did (overcoming a little trepidation wiht the "hey, you took out the batteries" warning), it took about 30 seconds to finish the sync. Great call, Logi Nu. Thanks.

I tried this battery trick and it took the sync immediatly!

I had the same problem with my 300 hamory remote..I down loaded the Google Chrome web browsers and the software worked perfectly.
