yeap..yet another post with the same issue.

My case though is a bit different.

I have managed to connect and sync the remote and have been using it for 3 months or so. One day i have pressed the watch tv button it did switch on all the devices but then after that no matter what key i would press it will not respond or light any lights.

So i thought that the remote has lost its memory.

I have tried to reconnect to myharmony and got some issues with the software. Eventually i did manage to connect into my account however the remote is not recognised.

As soon as i connect the remote on win 7 it will make the usual sound, and the button sync now becomes blue. However, after a few seconds another sound comes up like it has been disconnected and the button "sync now" becomes grey.

Basically from what i understand the remote control cannot be recognised as a usb device.

I have tried laptop with win 7 64bit, desktop with win7 64bit, laptop with win xp and macintosh. All of them have exactly the same issue. Recognising the remote for a few seconds and then not recognising, it so i cannot sync

Does this sound familiar to anyone and is it a hardware issue, that it seems to me?

Is there a way to manually download the driver for that remote or reset the remote control? I have tried to remove the baterries for some time, remove the battery tag etc, but no luck.

Have you tried a different cable?

well...quite embarrassing...but after a few nights and straight after this post, i decided to change the batteries just in case...guess what...it was the batteries...

funny thing because the remote will flash everytime it was connected to the pc so i assumed the batteries were good and also they were only 3 months old....

Were they the original batteries that came with the remote?

Then they were probably too old and need to be replaced.
