Hi, Just got a Harmony 650 and generally speaking it is setup and functioning as intended. One thing that I cannot figure out is the "Watch a Movie" button: every time I press it the screen just says "use the harmony setup software to add an activity on this button", but in the software there is no ability to modify this button. The only buttons the software allows me to config are the main bank of buttons around and below the LCD.
My setup is quite simple, 2 total inputs: on my receiver one inbound HDMI is for cable TV, and a 2nd input is for Apple TV. I have the "Watch TV" button set to run the cable TV system, works fine. Am trying to set the "Watch a Movie" button to run AppleTV but it just keeps giving me the "use the setup software" message.
FWIW the "Listen to Music" button gives the same error.
Note that I CAN get Apple TV working fine, by pressing the "More Activities" button then selecting Apple TV from the list I have created. I just want to get it nice and clean by having the Watch a Movie button call up Apple TV on its own.
Thanks

Hi Alphasports,
We dont have an option to customize the activity buttons on Myharmony.com.
its normal that you receive a message ( Use the Setup software ) when you select watch a movie and listen to music because the buttons doesnt have an activity in it.
if you really want to customize the activity buttons for you harmony 650, Create an account on Harmony Software 7.7
Regards
Ron

I'm having the same problem. I understand that you are supposed to assign devices to the Watch a Movie button in the Activities area of myHarmony.com.
The problem is, when I click "Add Activity" in myHarmony.com, I only get two choices: Listen to Music and Watch TV. Then I have the option of Custom. Shouldn't I have three out of the box choices to correspond with the three buttons on my remote (Listen to Music, Watch TV, and Watch a Movie) ? If I create an Activity for Watch a Movie, it isn't mapped to the Watch a Movie button, I have to find it under ...More activities.
Why isn't this listed?

Nevermind, I figured it out. It wasn't going to give me a "Watch a Movie" function until I told it that I had a DVD player of some kind. Once I added my PS3 (even though I don't have the adapter yet) it became available, along with Play a Game.
