Hello all. I am a newbie here to this site and to this remote. I wish I had bought it years ago. Anyways after looking through the messages I couldn't find the HELP I need.

I'm in the process of putting together my dream Home Theater system.

Here's what I have:

Hardware

LG 55LV 5400 55" HDTV

Cable box

Pioneer VSX-1020-K 7.1 Home Theater Receive

Apple mac mini ( with HDMI )

Logitech Harmony One Remote

Software

Remote Buddy

Plex media server

Here is what I would like to do. I would love to be able to create activities like:

Plex - where I push the activity on my remote and all my components come on TV, Receiver, mac mini wakes and OPENS Plex application. The open plex automatically part is where I am stuck and need help. I really would love to be able to go from watching cable TV to surfing the web and reading my e-mail or viewing Plex with a push of a button. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello MrBpb,

While I have no experience in using Remote Buddy and trying to get my Harmony to launch applications and perform other functions there is a blog I've come across where a Home Theater enthusiast has done quite a bit of customization of his Harmony, Mac Mini & Plex.  He does a good job of explaining how he set it all up.
