MyHarmony is too dumbed down

Long time Harmony user who just got another remote for my father-in-law to use.  Decided to try the MyHarmony.

The interface looks good but I'm disappointed with the lack of advanced features that were present in the standalone software.  It seems that it's too dumbed down.

Here are some of the issues that I have:

1. Want ability to add a 5 second pause when the TV is powered on before it sends the next command.

2. Want ability to do a custom sequence to select the correct source (e.g, press VGA, then HDMI once or twice)

Re: MyHarmony is too dumbed down

You're are right the MyHarmony.com is dumbed down from the 7.7 stand alone software, with the exception of the 200, 300, and Link remotes, you can still use the stand alone 7.7 software to configure your Harmony remote.

Re: MyHarmony is too dumbed down

The fact that the standalone software can't be used with it means the Harmony Link is far less functional than cheaper older remotes.

Amen.. I Hear ya!

I can't believe how stupid their app is... and they force us to use it too! I have not heardofany other rmeote maker that forces you to use their web application.

What about users who don't always have the internet?

They should allow you to use their app offline and the app can do regular syncing to the web to get the latest remotes.

I am soo angry that I want to boycott using Logitech products. Not going to say which company I represent but we got serious buying power.
