Myharmony.com vs old standalone software for configuration

I've been using Harmony remotes for years (even before Logitech bought them) but lately I've been having nothing but problems.  Rather than just complaing, let me get to my main question:

It used to be I'd use a standalone (i.e. not web based) app called HarmonyRemote where I'd sign in with a user name and password. (I own 3 Harmonys, so each needed its own username and password combination -- incredibly annoying).

That software now refuses to recognize my remotes when they are connected via USB.

So i'm tryng to do things via myharmony.com (which seems the be Silverlight dependnet).  It's very Mac unfriendly, so I gave up and tried it on a PC.

Anyway, at myharmony.com, there aren't usernames--, but email addresses--password combinations. So I can't seem to use it to modify existing setups since they are all assoicated with the username/PW combination from the stand alone app.

Any ideas?

Re: Myharmony.com vs old standalone software for configuration

First off MyHarmony.com will not work with your older remotes, you still need to use the 7.7 software.  MyHarmony can only be used with the 200, 300, 600, 650, 700, Harmony One +, and the Link.  As far as using an E-Mail address for the user log on, it doesn't have to be an actual e-mail address, it just has to look like an E-Mail address, you could use xyz@myaccount.com for instance.  The 600, 650, 700, and the Harmony One + can also be used with the stand alone 7.7 software.
