I have bought a new Harmony 300 which doesn't seem to be working.  I have tried it with three different PCs.  On each PC I have installed the software from MyHarmony.com - the screen then says to insert the USB cable - the first time Windows 7 installs the device driver and I can see it appear on the Device Manager - the MyHarmony software then says it is getting my account settings and then tries to sync with the remote which fails and it says try inserting the USB cable again - each time I connect the remote it tries to sync but has not succeeded.

Ditto; 300 will not sync on my Win7 machine either.

Syncs just fine on my slow, old as dirt, WinXP machine.

Hi.

Try plugging the Harmony 300 into a new/different USB port, and then wait until Windows 7 goes and fetches the device drivers.  I've seen this take minutes with Windows 7 since it tries to find the latest drivers rather then just use the default HID ones.

Ususally you can find the Device Driver icon in the system tray and bring it up and watch until it's detected each of the drivers for the remote.

Thanks for the reply but that didn't help. The drivers were succesfully installed with each different port used, but the 300 still fails to complete syncing.

Never fails to sync on 32bit-WinXP.

On 64bit-Win7 it can take 20+ tries before a sync completes succesfully, if ever.

I solved my syncing issue with winxp32 and harmony 300 by updating silverlight. http://www.silverlight.net/

I installed silverlight, no help at all.  I have a 720 and 650 that set up with no problem.  I got a 300 that would not begin

to sync, took it back (after the troubleshooting and suggestions from Logitech) and got a new 300i, and it does the same

thing!  What is up with 300's??

Hello northlaker,

When someone already has a previous Harmony, two things can occur.

1) That you are trying to setup and update the remote using the Logitech Harmony Software (v7.7) rather than MyHarmony.com website.  For the H300 you must use the MyHarmony.com site

2) You have the Logitech Harmony Software 7.7 open when attempting to Sync your H300.  Close out of the software completely by finding the H icon in the Windows System Tray and then right clicking and chosing close.

I am having the same issues with a new Harmony 300,it won't connect on my windows 7 machine and on XP machine, connects and starts to Sync but only moves along about 30mm then stops, have left it trying to sync for several hours no progress made.

Any suggestions?

Progress stops at the "g" in progress.

Whats the deal?
