I have a Pioneer LX509 tv and a Harmony 890, all working well, except for the tv not changing inputs when its first turned on. This is because it has a warm-up time of about 5 seconds before it responds to any commands.
It's not an issue when the activity you select is the same as the last one used as the tv doesn't need to change inputs.
Only need to change between the DTV input for TV viewing activity and HDMI 4 input for all other activites.
I realize I could delay the command timing for the input select, but this would introduce the delay to swapping between activities when the tv is already on and warmed up. Not really ideal as the input change speed is great as it is.
What are my other options?
Should I create a custom macro just for the ON command which includes ON and a 5 second delay. Is that even possible?
Help appreciated, thanks!

You need to increase the Power On delay for the TV. Devices, Your TV, Settings, Adjust Delays. If you say it takes 5 seconds for teh the TV to warm up then your Power On delay should at least be 5000ms, it may need to be a little bit higher.

Thank you for that.

Thank you

Have you tried reducing the power on delay? That seems pretty high

Yes i have.
Went from 8000 all the way to 22000 in 2000 intervals.
When it hit 22000ms it started registering the input change, so tried it at 21000, then 20000 again.
20000 didn't register the input change, so went back to 21000ms.
I know i can refine it down a little more by 100ms steps, just need to dedicate the time.
Thanks!
