I need help setting up the Samsung TV SmartHUB acivity to include Receiver Input. I have the following equipment:

• Harmony One
• Samsung TV Smart Hub
• Sony Sound Bar
• Directv DHD-DVR
• Samsung Bluray

I would like to setup my Harmony One remote so I can select TV SmartHub and "TV" input from my Sony Sound Bar

or: Samsung TV/SmartHub/Receiver input "TV"

Currently I see the SmartHub button under Devices/TV/Current Activities, so I can select SmartHUB from the Harmony One remote but I can't figure out a way to also switch the Sony Sound Bar Receiver to "TV" input when I chose the SmartHub actitivty.

Have you created Activities?  When you creat Activities, you designate what inputs your devices need to be set when you start your Activity.

Thank you!  Your response got me 50% of the way. With your advice I set up the SmartHUB on my TV as a new  Activity.  However after doing this I realized none of my TV or Receivers functioned worked once I got into the SmartHub.  I had to call into logitech product support to learn how to apply the various "functions" via Cusotmized Buttons once I got into the SmartHUB.

Now all is a-okay and I am amazed at what my Harmony One remote can do ( with a little training )

Hello:  Here's what I did to set up the Samsung SmartHub command on my Harmony One:

1) Used the harmony software on my iMac to create (add) a new activity which I named SmartHub

-Add activity

-Manual add

-Utility

-Generic activity

-Selected devices ( in my case the Samsung TV and my Sony soundbar)

-Selected the HDMI port ( used between the TV and Soundbar)

-Selected "TV" input on my Soundbar

-Then "Done"

2)Once the new activity is created--then I selected "Customized Buttons" on the new activity

Then you have a whole list of options to select Button/Device/Command to build these commands on the Harmony One

For example from left to right: Button (Menu) Device ( TV) Command (menu)

Repeat the above for all the buttons on the list that are relevant actions for your devices

Then "Done"

The above now allows me to use the Harmony One to:

Select SmartHub activity on the Harmony One

-Turns on/off my TV and goes directly to the SamrtHub

-Turns on/off my Sound Bar and switches input on the Receiver to "TV"

-Use all the buttons on the Harmony One that I setup in "Customize Buttons" above E.g.: Menu, Exit, Up Arrow, Dwn Arrow etc.

Hi am having similar issue setting up my 1100 to work with the smarthub function on my UN60D8000.  I believe I have everything programed correctly except there is no smarthub button function that I can choose from the various pull down menues when programing the remote.  Any help would be appreciated.

I just replied to your question on the avsforum as well.  If you follow the above  "Samsung Smart Hub Setup/Harmony One"   Hello:  Here's what I did to set up the Samsung SmartHub command on my Harmony One  step-by-step to "add a new activity" and then create customized buttons for the new activity (which I called SmartHub) then it wll work....

Hello, 

Please help!  I can seem to get the sound to come out of my Receiver.  Here's my configuration:

Samsung TV - input HDMI 1

Denon Receiver - input TV/CBL

I created the generic activity, but the sound still comes out of the TV.
