I've been using the Harmony 650 for about the last eight months with my setup and absolutely love it. So much that I decided to get one for my mother, as she's not very tech savvy but is always complaining about having too many remotes. The problem is her television isn't in the Harmony database (Tevion LCD4202), and even though we have the original remote, when it tries to determine the remote setup for it's self, it just comes up to say it can't find the device or any similar devices.
I've tried just using the IR Learn feature and it can pick up the commands, however it can't switch inputs reliably this way. The original remote doesn't have buttons dedicated to go to certain inputs (but it does have for others), the primary way to change inputs is with the onscreen menu. Again, this is fine at first, however when you are using the built in freeview (DVB), the buttons used to change inputs become the buttons used to change digital channels. With the original remote you'd have to press the TV button, then use the input selection screen again. The Harmony can't do that as you can't program multiple ways of changing inputs depending on what input you're on.
If this device could have support added to the database, it'd be great, as without being able to control the TV it's kind of pointless.
Edit:
Or if somebody could find hex codes for discrete IR functions such as HDMI, AV, Scart inputs etc, that would solve the problem.
