Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

I just got a Harmony One+ to replace the old One which was RMA'ed.

I see that the new method for programming the One+ is via myharmony.com.

However, my remote software login account was not detected so i had to create a new one, and I don't see an option for transferring the settings from the software to myharmony.com (I tried to update the remote with the software, but it just hangs at 0% during the update process.)

Please don't tell me that I have to program the One+ from scratch in myharmony.com?

Re: Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

You can still use the old 7.7 software instead of MyHarmony.com. Just log into your old account connect your new One and click on Update Remote and your old settings will be transferred to your new remote.

Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't work, it just hangs at 0% indefinitely

Re: Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

Ah, my mistake. I suddenly realized that I had the remote software running simultaneously as myharmony.com had started communicated with the remote.

Once I stopped myharmony.com I was able to update the remote with the software version. :smileyhappy:

Re: Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

I have a similar, but different problem.  My Harmony One Remote was programmed by a professional when my home entertainment system was installed.  I am now trying to install a new device (TiVO) into my system, however, I cannot seem to view the current devices and activities that are on the remote.  I would love to be able to download the current remote devices and activities, make a few small changes and then update the remote with the new stuff. How can I download the information from my device?

Re: Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

There is no way to transfer settings from your remote to the software.  If you do not know the logon ID and password when the remote was first setup, Download the 7.7 software from the Harmony website, do not use MyHarmony.com, install the software, when you get the log on screen, select, I forgot my password, you will be asked 3 questions, Last Name, Zip Code, Manufacturer of your TV.  See this Link

Re: Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

Thank you for that reply.  I did try to use version 7.7 of the software and the profession installer was an employee of the currently defunk Ultimate Electronics.  I eventually called "uncle" and reproduced programming for all of the devices and activities.  I tried to "update remote" to upload the data to the remote and it did not appear to upload (same problem with a setting for my A/V receiver).  I went as far as creating an additional activitiy to see if I could just use a new activity to accomplish what I was hoping for.  The new task was not uploaded either (and I did search all of the LCD screens to try and find it).  It does not appear that my stuff is not being uploaded and I am not getting any indication that there are problems.

Logitech has now pointed me to "pay by the drink" support...I hope it is not too expensive.

I believe that it is $29.00 for paid support

Re: Transfer settings from remote software to myharmony.com

I will be calling them this evening to determine why I cannot get the contents of my remote to change when I hit "update remote" key and the slide bars seem to all move along to 100% completion.

When you connect your remote to your PC, does the LDC screen show that the USB is connected?
