Hey everybody,

I have purchased the harmony 650 remote..PS3 works, vizio soundbar works and LG tv works. Only thing not working is my DirecTV. All i had to do was add the other devices and they worked instantly. Unfortunately, when i enter my Model for DirecTV (HR24-500) it asks me to teach the logitech remote.

This is where I have issues. I cannot teach the remote all of the commands that it asks me to teach. Maybe half sometimes? but I'm lukcy if i can get that many in.

So I try skipping some of the commands and, of course, the remote doesnt work with the receiver.

Any easier way to do this? Does it matter that I am using MyHarmony.com instead of desktop software? Any other ideas will help.

Be sure that your DirecTV  DVR is set to be controlled by IR and not RF.  This is done through DirecTV's Menu.Menu, Settings & Help, Settings, Remote Control, IR/RF Setup.  Remote Type should be set to IR
