Re: Website down -> Harmony Remote Control not usable

We have had some reports of people having trouble logging in while we have been doing some maintenance.

We do appreciate your patience at this time.

You may wish to try the 7.7 software for your Harmony 700 remote. It can be downloaded from http://www.logitech.com/en-us/440/6063 just choose downloads that is found beside overview.

Re: Website down -> Harmony Remote Control not usable

I have been trying to get onsite for 6 hours. This is not good. Message I get is: "We Are sorry. Many people like you are excited to set up their new remotes, so we're experiencing a high level of traffic. Please try again later. Thanks for your patience."

Re: Website down -> Harmony Remote Control not usable

The software should have an offline copy of whatever is on the website so that when it is down, the offline copy is used and we're not totally screwed. At this stage, we are left with a brand new unusable remote, that's not a super design in my opinion.

Re: Website down -> Harmony Remote Control not usable

Purchased a new Apple TV for my folks as a Christmast gift expecting I'd be able to set it up on the Harmony One during my visit with them.  Now, I'm leaving today and they will have to hire a professional to come set it up.  My gift has turned into a headache because your website has been down.  I'm not happy.  Still waiting on the phone for customer support, though I'm not very confident they'll be able to help any.  The number for anyone else who wants to call and complain is 1-866-291-1505.  This is VERY FRUSTRATING!!

And I don't buy that this is happening during the maintenance schedule.  Why would any company schedule maintenance around in the middle of the day at Christmas time when their volume of sales and support is going to be the higher than average.

Still waiting on the phone.....been on hold 30 minutes now....

Re: Website down -> Harmony Remote Control not usable

Epic Fail by Logitech on this issue.

I have been trying for two days since xmas morning to get this remote working properly.  I got in on the first day, in the morning, and got the remote setup initially.  Then the wife mentioned some of the functionallity wasn't perfect and I've been trying to tweek it every since.

Kind of embarassing to convince the wife to buy a $100+ remote and then I have to tell her the "website is down"???

There sure are a lot of excited people (like I was) setting up their new remotes.

Re: Website down -> Harmony Remote Control not usable

I got the error that this software wasn't compatable with my browser using the latest chrome and 64bit internet explorer. I had to install firefox to get it to work. 32bit IE worked after I installed the plugin but I didn't try before.

Heres the install link if you wanna try.
