myharmony.com keeps insisting I download software

I have a Logitech Harmony 300. I have configured it in the past but can't seem to get the Logitech website to recognize me or the device. When I try to login, I get taken to a page to download sw. I've downloaded it a few times now and it always does nothing (doesn't jump to the next screen as per the instructions).

I've followed the recommended "troubleshooting" instructions (close all browsers, try again) with no change in behaviour.

I am running Windows7 x64 with IE9. I tried Google Chrome but the website says it is not supported. I don't want to have to install Firefox just to get this device configured.

I have tried witht and without the device connected.

I can login to the web site and support forum (obviously) so it's not a user/password issue.

Please advise.

My first question is, do you have the latest version of Microsoft's Silverlight installed?

You may have to download the latest version of Microsoft Silverlight from www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight.

I do also recommend to use 32-bit IE9 or Mozilla Firefox.

Re: myharmony.com keeps insisting I download software

Does exactly the same with imac osx 10.6 and firefox.  I expect that the Silverlight program that I downloaded several times from their own website would be the most up-to-date.  I have never been so frustrated with ANY company in my entire 75 years on this planet.  It is certainly a sad day when a company that has been making huge profits around the globe won't hire some primary school kid to fix their stupid inoperable website.  It has been this way for over a year that I am aware of.  Sad, sad, sad situation I'd say.  But tomorrow (it's now after 3 AM) I'll switch to another remote manufacturing company, not that I'll ever be missed here.

Re: myharmony.com keeps insisting I download software

I have confirmed that I have the correct/updated version of Silverlight installed and that I am using the 32bit IE9 browser variant. I have also tried installing on a Sony laptop running Windows 7 32-bit.
