Hi all,
I’ve been looking for a simple remote to control my TV/SAT setup and decided to go for a 300. In general I’m really happy with it (though the 'arrow' keys could be made more finger 'recognizable') but for some reason it is doing two actions with one button press. Well, actually these are not two different actions but just the same repeated. When I press volume up it increases the volume by 2 (original remote makes only 1 step up). The same goes when in equalizer. Strange thing is that it browsing very well trough the rest of menu. I know that all other, more advanced models can adjust signal timings but there is no such option for 300 at myharmony site (or do i miss something?). Is it a hardware limitation or simply a feature to be added?
BTW, the TV is Panasonic TX-P42G20E.

Your'e right the 300 has no delay settings, since all the other commands work alright, try learning the volume commands from your original remote the the 300.

hello rhachey,
that was my first thought. I've already tried that with the same result for both volume and arrow keys. to be honest i can live with that as long as it doesn't concern channel buttons ;-) but buying Logitech product, even the cheapest one, i didn't expected that kind of problems.
do you think the troubleshot button functionality from harmony software could\will be added to myharmony site?
thanks

The 300 is completly different from any other Harmony model, in operation and programming. There are no options for delay settings or troubleshooting like the other models, and at $50 or less, I don't see any upgrades coming.

hello rhachey
I know that 300 is targeted for slightly other market than the rest of Logitech remotes, but simplified design and programming doesn't justify the impossibility to fix some flaws it has. I also do not agree that the low price can explain that. I can easily buy a no name, $5 remote that will _mostly_ do its job but by spending few $ more I wanted to have guarantee of 100% compatibility. I chose 300 since I don't need any special features like 'activities' or even backlighting, and not due to pricing.
Thanks anyway for you input, I'll check with support now what could be done to fix this.

Hello Parseval,
The Harmony 300 does indeed use a different set up site then the other line of Harmony remotes, and because of this some setting adjustments that previously were available aren't there for the 300.
Currently there is no way to adjust the repeats value for devices, and as such Customer Support will be unable to change this setting for you. We are aware that some of the values we have in our database are causing this doubling up of commands and we are working on resolving this. I do not have a absolute date for when this will be fixed, but we are hoping for early November.
Best regards,
DaneHarmony

Will this fix other remotes as well becasue I'm having this same issue with an 890. I happens with Directv over wireless RF extender for up/down/side buttons in the guide and also with IR to Panasonic TV for volume up/down.

The 'Repeats' value can be adjusted on other Harmony remote models that use the Logitech Harmony Remote software, unlike the Harmony 300 which uses the MyHarmony.com website.
For other remotes, click on the 'Devices' tab and then 'Troubleshoot' for the DirecTv. Choose the option my devices responds too little or too much and the lower the value by 1 at a time if it's repeating too much.

I've already tried that, from the default of 3 I believe down to 0. It worked fine for the first year then one day started with the double thing. It happens the most when further away from the RF receiver. But I've also had this problem controlling my TV via IR since day 1.
