MySqueezebox.com & Squeezebox Server

When I select a BBC local radio station (eg BBC Bristol) I get a message saying the stream is unavailable due to contractual reasons or a technical fault.  I tried the stream from my laptop and it works fine.  This is only when playing through the squeezebox radio using mysqueezebox.com.  all of the national networks play fine, its just all of the bbc local stations. I'm located in the uk so I can't believe its a contractual thing and it works from the laptop on the bbc website so it cant be a technical thing.  any ideas people???

Its to do with the Olymicps.  Not sure if Squeezebox will play the live feed.  Will check when I get home on Sunday.

I have this problem with my squeezebox radios, first noticed when PM Radio 4 went off, but oddly not with a non logitech internet radio which plays all BBC channels just fine. Im assuming its to do with the mysqueezbox server location?

A work around anyone?

All BBC local radio stations 'internet' services have been "Geolocked" (blocked) to users outside of the UK, possibly until the 9th September when the Olympics/Para-Olympics will have finished.

My local station BBC Merseyside also 'blocks' internet radio to overseas listeners when they transmit football commentaries relating to our local football teams!

I guessed it was something like that.  However I am in the UK with a UK registered IP address.  Its from BT.

Does the feed get pushed via Squeezebox in the US?

Yeah servers in US and most probably for your location Germany.

I am still unable to listen to any BBC National or BBC Local radio stations using my Squeezebox Touch here in the UK.

What puzzles me is that if I log into the 'Tunein.com' website on my laptop I can listen to all BBC radio stations via the website, I assume that the website recognises my ISP address as being located in the UK and grants access, why cannot the software that the Touch uses operate in a similiar way?

To overcome the problem I had to buy a Roberts (UK company) DAB/FM/Internet portable radio in order to be able to listen to the BBC on the internet, no doubt the server that I am accessing with the Roberts radio is based in the UK as I have perfect reception on BBC National and BBC Local services whilst my Logitech Touch is useless!
