After giving up on my NAS Duo because of well-documented scanning issues that I tried 3 months to fix, I moved my music to a Windows XP laptop and ran LMS via iTunes and over my Squeezebox Classic. (I many, many have posts on this forum, ReadyNas, and NETGEAR forums, but have never been able to fix that issue, so I had no choice but to switch to my PC).
With the latest LMS update, the scan ran flawlessly, and I once again had access to all my music...for 2 whole weeks! Now I am dead in the water again. Help!!!
I can see all my music via genre, album, song, etc. But when I choose an album or track and hit "play", nothing happens. I can skip through my tracks with my remote, power up and down, navigate without issues. But my tracks simply will not play. I hit play, and nothing happens. When I say nothing happens, I mean that literally. Nothing. No sound, no nothing.
Nothing changed in the two weeks from working perfectly to not working at all. My one possible issue (please advise!) is that my laptop's hard drive is near capacity due to music library. I took out all non-essential programs and ONLY run music off it. But other than that, I can't detect any issues. My PC is powered on full-time. I've shut off all automatic updates. LMS seems to run fine.
Any advice on how to proceed? This is now month 6 without full access to my music. I want to add new players to my house, but not until I figure out how to stream my music again.

I just reset to factory settings (unplug power from squeezebox, then plug back in while holding the "+" button on the remote). Set up network, etc. Then have it rescan library. Set rescan to " clear list and scan everything". This worked for me. It is playing again.
