Upgrade from 7.7.0 to 7.7.1 was unsuccessful:
while following instruction (http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/de
after step V (as described at link above) received a message "Unsuccessful dropping SqueezeCenter database"
Biggest problem: as a result of this upgrade, i lost normal access to whole media folder on server (i.e. not only music subfolder, but whole media folder!).
And looks like clean_squeezecenter_db miss this access as well.
Seems like this upgrade changed access rights to media folder and now it is accessible only with LMS (or root) credentials.
after a first shock i found i can access all the files when i connect to readynas as an administrator. and seems like LMS server operating normally.
Details:
server - readynas ultra 2 plus (raidiator 4.2.19)
number of clients (radio, boom, duet, etc. if it matters)
had no problems with LMS 7.7.0 and earlier versions before.
hope you can help me with this issue.

I'm experiencing the same thing with the 7.7.1 upgrade on my Ultra. After precisely following the upgrade instructions, I get the message "unsuccessful dropping Squeezecenter database." Afterwards, I no longer can see existing subfolders for the Logitech Media Server or for my Tivo Ultra under the media folder.
The Media Server and and Tivo still 'work' with the Ultra's contents (located in the now invisible folders), but I can no longer acccess them from my PC (Windows Visto Home Premium SP 2). Memeo backups still work, and the subfolders for it are still visible.
However, I can no longer drag and drop files to these folders on the ReadyNAS Ultra, nor can I rip new music to those folders. This means I can no longer add new music to the Squeezecenter database! Assistance, or a fix, would be greatly appreciated!

Since this is an odd issue it will probably be best to post on our Third party forums at http://forums.slimdevices.com under third party hardware or the ReadyNAS forums: http://www.readynas.com/forum/ .
If you do not get any answers then try filing a bug report at http://bugs.slimdevices.com
You can also try the nightly version at http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.7

I've just experienced the same problem. Unsuccessful dropping SqueezeCenter database.
Nice answer.
The SBS in the ReadyNas used to work. Now it doesn't. You broke it. Fix it. It's NOT an odd issue. Crawl some of the
threads and you'll see.
This is totally unacceptable. I've completely removed ALL Logitech software from my ReadyNas for fear of losing
everything.

I can't solve your NAS + LMS issue, but I can try to alleviate your fear of losing any of your music files. LMS server in no way alters/edits/deletes/changes your actual music files, it just can't do that. All of your music & (non-LMS) playlists & album art is all still exactly where it was before LMS was installed and/or uninstalled. Your NAS + LMS is having an issue finding & scanning those files, but I assure they are all still there. ![]()

Thanks,
I don't understand this. This all worked @7.6.x-7.7.0. You force my four radios and duet to 7.7.1 with the repeated messages, people get tired of seeing it so all of us update, and now it's broken. Some blame Netgear, some blame Logitech. I don't get it. Somebody fix it. I don't care who's fault it is.
So I try and solve my Unsupported dropping database problem by running an LMS 7.7.1 on a PC...wrong.
Now I get " An unexpected error occurred while validating your mysqueezebox.com account. Please make sure your network connectivity is working fine." - Great...... Strike two. All network connectivity is verified operational and Diagnostics all pass with "Ok" and I can login through the mysb.com website.
This is very frustrating as I am at wits end and ready to dump it all. I do apologize for being heated up but before 7.7.x, this all worked fine.
