Re: LMS v7.7.0 Authentication Issue

This is could actually be a windows problem. I had a similar problems when i installed some VST plugins for making music. Everytime i astarted the software i had to re enter serial numbers. I reinstalled everything in a diferent folder that solved the problem.

Unfortunatly there's no option in the LMS installation to pick another installation folder, and i can't figure out the protection of those folders. I bet that's the problem since it's very similar to that earlier problem i had before.

Re: LMS v7.7.0 Authentication Issue

Hi tunepunk et al,

Depending on the version of Windows, it might have something to do with Admin privileges. Worth a try - close out of the program... Then reopen it by right clicking on the icon and selecting "Run as admin". This is only applicable for Win Vista & 7 however.

Re: LMS v7.7.0 Authentication Issue

I have this same problem with LMS v7.7.2 on Win 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit.

Have tried everything in the thread and no dice. Does anyone have any updates or advice regarding this issue?

Thanks!

Re: LMS v7.7.0 Authentication Issue

[ Edited ]

I've got the very same problem on Mac OSX (10.7.2).

First i was running Logitech Media Server Version 7.7.2, then i tried a fresh clean install of the nightly Server 7.7.3.

Problem still exists, i can't login with my correct mysqueezebox.com account.

I tried to create new accounts, no luck. Same problem. Can't login. The login on the mysqueezebox.com homepage is no problem, so my account is 100% active and i got the right mail address and password.

I can't enter the account in the Logitech Media Server interface and in the settings tab via webinterface.

I tried several clean installs (everytime with deleting all kind of files in the library-folders), no luck. I don't run any kind of firewall, i tried to disable nearly everything on my router just to proof that this is no network problem...

so in the scanner.log file i see the error "Couldn't resolve IP adress for www.mysqueezebox.com" (error 596).

i am able to ping mysqueezebox.com and i can visit the site via internet browser...

i also tried to enter the ip address of mysqueezebox.com in my hosts-file. doesn't work...

edit: after a few reboots it suddenly worked. unbelieveable. i restarted my mac everytime i did the fresh install. today it works as it was never a problem. :smileyhappy: finally...

Re: LMS v7.7.0 Authentication Issue

I have just installed LMS v 7.7.2 – r33893 on my WHS and eveything works fine.

I can login into mysqueezebox.com and I can open the LMS Control Panel, but I can't configure Password Protection.

Hope, somebody can help me.
