Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

answer squeezeit's questions below about various IP addresses. that may have some clues.

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

I forget....have you done a factory reset on the duet receiver and controller? Can't hurt.  And if that doesn't work, my next step would be to do a reset and reconnect receiver using ethernet rather than wifi (just as a test) to see whether you can get the player recognized.

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

I tried the factory reset and when it gets to the "scanning for players" step it just keeps searching, never finding the players. Would it make sense to try deleting the player on mysqueezebox.com and then try re-installing it to see if it recognizes it at that point?

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

you could try that. can't hurt. and what about connecting via ethernet.

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

and what do you mean "scanning for players". what is giving you this message? The Controller itself?

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

Also, I'm assuming you haven't setup any sort of MAC address restricting on your router itself. If you don't know what this is, that means you haven't set it up. I'm not aware of any routers that would do this by default.

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

I tried a hard reset of the receiver itself (holding button down on unit rather than just unplug) and that worked! Thanks so much for your help.

Re: Logitech Media Server Connection issue

Perfect. Yep, simply unplugging is not a reset.  Enjoy!
