Hi, I used to have a catagory calles SONGS in the My Music list; along with Artists, Albums, Favorites etc. This was great because I could shuffle songs in my library. But it has vanished. I don't know how to get it back or what I may have done to "loose' it. Help please. It must be a setting but I just can't find it anywhere.

That category has been gone for a few versions of LMS now. Would be nice to come back, but for now, you can go into my music > search > songs, and search for a song. Not the same, but the best you can do without installing an older version of SbS.

if you use shuffle and random a lot you might find that erland's dynamic playlist plugin is quite useful. Allows you to do all sorts of random play....

or a quick and dirty approach, is to simply add ALL your albums to a single playlist (give it some name), then you can open that playlist and hit shuffle/random play.  I wouldn't advise this if you have more than a few thousand songs as it will bring LMS to a halt.  With  a lot of songs, the dynamic playlist approach is best, as it only adds 10 songs at a time, but does this continuously....
