MOG no longer accessible through Logitech Media Server

I'm using LMS 7.7.1 with a Touch. Used to be when I was listening to my music library through LMS, then switched to MOG, it was immediately available without having to switch servers back to mysqueezebox.com. Suddenly that feature is no longer available. When I pull up MOG, it sees my favorites, but when it tries to play the first song it can't find it and scrolls through all the titles, then stops. Otherwise LMS works great.

With 7.7.1 I don't see a menu item that would allow me to manually switch back to mysqueezebox.com, as I remember earlier versions of squeezebox server had. But if LMS is stopped on my computer, the Touch will automatically go back to my squeezebox.com.

Any ideas? I have reinstalled LMS and rebooted the Touch. Even tried going back to 7.7.0, but get the same behavior.

Re: MOG no longer accessible through Logitech Media Server

Please try to restart the server (LMS) on your Computer? Is this a Mac?

There's a known issue that the server can lose the connection to MySqueezebox.com which would explain this behavior.

Does the computer have a good internet connection?

Re: MOG no longer accessible through Logitech Media Server

Did you ever get this problem solved? I just switched to MOG (from Rhapsody which worked fine with my Duet) and am having the same exact problem. I restarted the thing, stopped and restarted the server, uninstalled the app a zillion times even did a factory reset. Basicalyl I've done everything I could think of and no luck. The thing worked perfectly when I was doing a trial of MOG, but now that I'm paying for it... ugh!

Re: MOG no longer accessible through Logitech Media Server

Same problem here. I'd just started my trial subscription to MOG. I like the high fidelity sound. But just like the two of you, I have not been able to launch MOG from my Media Server. When I selected MOG, my player switched me to mysqueezebox.com ( and started updating firmware and rebooted the player, each and every time). After the switch to mysqueezebox.com, MOG did indeed work. But then, I would have lost access to my NAS drive. At that point, I need to switch back to Media Server in order to access my NAS drive. I do not seem to have any problem with Pandora. I can run Pandora from Media Server without being forced to switch to mysqueezebox.com

Re: MOG no longer accessible through Logitech Media Server

I did some further research. It appears that my LMS version may need to be updated. Will try it out and report back later.

Works.

So this may be old news to some of you. To get MOG on your SB Touch and be able to stream it without having to repeatedly going from your NAS drive to mysqueezebox.com, you will need to upgrade your Media Server (formerly Squeezecenter) to 7.7.x version. You can get it from the logitech site for your particular NAS.

Re: MOG no longer accessible through Logitech Media Server

I've been able to install the MOG app and get to the point where the song is ready to play, however the Squeezebox says it can't play the file type.  It's taken me all afternoon to get to this point, and I'm so close to being able to play it, but not quite!
