Media Server 7.7.2 / r33893 won't run

I am having trouble with the Logitech Media Server software.  It's won't run.  A few weeks ago it worked fine.  I had a virus issue and ended up doing a fresh install of Windows XP.  I have SP3 with all updates installed.  Now after doing the clean install of Windows Logitech Media Server won't work.  I have tried different version and installed and uninstalled many times.  I have also read previous posts on this issue other people have had.  Diagnostics says port 3483, 9000, 9090 failed and possible software conflict found.  Not sure what this could be.  Windows firewall is OFF and DSL modem firewall is OFF.  I don't have any virus/adware/spyware software running.  I am not sure what to do.  Would like to get this running.  I don't see anyway to open these ports (or perhaps don't know) in my modems menus.  I have an Actiontech PK5000 by the way.  Any suggestions?

Re: Media Server 7.7.2 / r33893 won't run

That is odd.  Best I can offer is to try & clear the LMS cache, then try stopping & restarting LMS, check the diagnostics again.

LMS > Control Panel > Advanced > Delete Cache > Apply

Sure there are no other programs running that might be using those ports?  Any other media server program running (WMP, iTunes, WinAmp, etc...)?  The computer has no issues seeing the internet?

Re: Media Server 7.7.2 / r33893 won't run

I tried clearing the cache in LMS and that didn't work to solve issue.  I don't have WMP, iTunes, WinAmp or anything like that running that should be an issue.  But it does seem there would have to be some software conflict.  I may have a slightly different install each time I do a clean install of Windows with the multitude of applications and drivers I install after Windows each time making slightly different choices each time.  So I may have to try uninstalling certain things and trying to see if LMS works then.  Since it won't tell me which software program is causing a conflict I don't have much choice.
