My Apps have disappeared

I recently discovered that there is nothing appearing under My Apps other than App Gallery. As recently as a few days ago, it was working fine, but I have probably upgraded since then.

I am running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.1 - r33740 @ Tue Dec 6 03:01:51 PST 2011 on Ubuntu and have noticed the following in my server.log:

[11-12-07 17:47:07.2820] Slim::Networking::smileyfrustrated:queezeNetwork::_error (596) Unable to login to SN: Couldn't resolve IP address for: www.mysqueezebox.com

However, if I try running dig on the machine which is hosting the Media Server I get:

; <<>> DiG 9.7.3 <<>> www.mysqueezebox.com
;; global options: +cmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 23058

Any suggestions? If I browse to www.mysqueezebox.com I can log into my account without any problem.

Sean.

Re: My Apps have disappeared

I have the exact same problem. If I find anything out I'll post back. Maybe the servers aren't responding that host the app data?

Try stopping then restarting LMS.  For some reason your LMS cannot see MySB.com and that is likely the cause.

Re: My Apps have disappeared

I just restarted the logitech media server and the problem is persisiting (I also tried restarting the server machine and the router).

Other entries in the logs include:

[I've cut the rest of the line...let me know if you want more]

[11-12-07 21:16:03.9424] Slim::Networking::smileyfrustrated:queezeNetwork::smileyfrustrated:tats::_reportStats_error (233) Stats reporting failed: Session cookie required

Re: My Apps have disappeared

turn off computer running LMS, then reboot router, let fully start, reboot computer, let fully start, start LMS.

[ Edited ]

You've covered the basics with:

-        Reboot LMS itself (stop & restart)

-         Reboot network (turn off computer and router, boot up router completely, then boot up computer, stop & restart LMS, then reboot players

Some additional ideas:

-         Make sure no other programs or services are running that might be attempting to use the same ports that LMS is trying to access (like another media server)

-         temporarily disable anti virus and firewalls, then reboot LMS

-    verified your MySB.com credentials are entered and are correct on LMS

If the above doesn't resolve your system from blocking MySB.com on LMS I don't know what else to tell you.

Might need to contact support or try a completely new clean install.

The other option is simply to switch your player directly to MySB.com for online streaming usage, bypassing LMSall together.

Re: My Apps have disappeared

Thanks for the continuing suggestions!

I purged and reinstalled LMS and then the Apps came back. However, then it said that the Plugins had updated and a restart was required and they disappeared again. I randomly began uninstalling plugins I don't use much and now it works. I wasn't very scientific in my approach, so I'm not sure which Plugin was to blame, but I suspect Jazz FM.

Re: My Apps have disappeared

With a bit more experimentation, I can confirm it was the Jazz FM Plugin that broke my apps. Beware!

Re: My Apps have disappeared

Upgraded to the latest nighly release and the problem has returned...but JazzFM is still disabled, so I will have to investigate whether other plugins can cause the same problem. Very frustrating.
