PLease, can someone tell me how to toggle back and forth between listening to my favorites and other stations on my remotely controlled (via the desktop Mac) Squeezebox, and listening tosame sytations on the desktop computer itself.

At the moment, the only way I have found to listen to my squeezebox stations from or on the computer is to use the remote control to start a stream on the radio in the other room.  but this annoys other family members.  

So, how do I turn off the squeezebox and just listen on the web interface at the computer instead ??

Install Squeezeplay on your PC. It is the software player that emulates LMS and will do what you want.

Make sure the two players (hardware & software) are not Sync'd and neither is set to control the other.  This way your two players are completely independent of each other.
