Tobias, Please create a ticket with Logitech on your Pandora issue if you haven't already. Otherwise, they will remain oblivious to the problem.

Pandora is, once again, back to freezing on the Touch again. This time none of the tricks work to get it to play forward. You have to abandon your station altogether and try a new one to get more than 20 minutes of uninterrupted playback. I'm going to predict that this will be Logitech's response: "we're aware of the problem and have told our engineers. We cannot tell you what the problem is or when it will be fixed. If this frustrates you, as it does me, I suggest you inundate them with emails and open tickets. It's the only thing we haven't tried. They could twitter us with daily updates on major service problems like this but they CHOOSE not to. They could post a twitter feed for this issue on this forum and refer everyone to it. They CHOOSE not to do so. Instead it's "we've got your money now, so take our lousy service or leave it." Nineteen pages of posts and now they've stopped talking altogether. Social media are powerful, so if anyone has any ideas about how to get Loditech to change its communication policies regarding service failures, please post them here.

Slacker was working all weekend, then Monday morning... frozen again. I've gone so far as to try out some sky.fm streams again, better than they used to be, not all just esoteric album tracks anymore - and they don't freeze.

There is now a review at Amazon mentioning this 2 month unresolved issue, just in case Pandora / Slacker access is important to anyone researching them before buying one.

Ianto39, Posting referrals to this thread on Amazon's review pages is a GREAT idea. Consumers have power now and I find it truly astounding that Logitech is so impervious to customer feedback and constructive suggestions. The idea of a tweeter feed regarding service issues is just one example of people here offering solutions, but Logitech has an enormous corporate blind spot regarding customer relations. Stockholders should really be worried about their investment in a company with so much contempt for the users of its products. It's so sad because the actual Squeezebox Touch is an incredible piece of engineering and design. It probably won't survive because of the poor supporting services.

I doubt that people at Logitech are testing every single feature everyday especially the engineers as they are probably working on other things. This is also not an official support community, but a peer to peer community. If you want direct feedback and answer right away call into the Support center for your region as each region may have different issues as they are different servers. Always complaining on here or Amazon may not get a direct answer right away like you want.

 

Another thing to try would be with the server if you have it because the agents will ask if it works that way for you.

Dolby, Have you actually browsed through this ridiculously long thread? If you do, you'll see that many, many people have done exactly as you advise and started this process with very good will toward Logitech. Tech support promised to monitor this thread. They've since abandoned it...or choose to ignore it. Finally, I and several others have queried tech support multiple times directly , as recently as yesterday....NO RESPONSE. When they do respond, the message is minimal: keep waiting. We're working on it. That's fine for a three hour outage, but absurd for a months long issue. I hope you decide to get in involved and pressure Logitech to improve its communication with consumers. Why don't they run a twitter feed on issues like this??? Interruption of service for Pandora and Slacker is not trivial for a product that promises reliable access to such services. Logitech deserves every bit of heat they get for ignoring customers. Problems happen. Failing to thoroughly and consistently communicate with those effected by those problems is inexcusable.

Actually I have and since this was solved at one point this is now a whole new issue and not the same as in the original post because it can be completely different circumstances, but again complaining on here will not do much as this is a peer to peer community and Logitech employees will not always respond and if you want direct and quick answers it is best to call in for your region. Also the Logitech employees who answer on here are in the North American region so will not have full information concerning other regions such as Europe.

 

I am just stating what has been seen on here in the past and the best practice instead of people always saying "Is it fixed?" "Fix it now, Logitech" because this is just a peer to peer community and again for direct answers without waiting it is best to call in.
