I am missing song 1 on several albums. I use windows media server to rip the album as a .wav file and it appears in the windows media server library correctly, and on the disk in the correct directory, But the media server scanner does not detect song 1 for serveral albums. I cleared the library and rescanned several times, same result. Ideas?
Thanks!

very odd. I've never seen this issue reported. So what about looking at these albums in WMP, foobar2000, winamp, etc. Does the 1st song show up and PLAY ok?

I'm betting it's a WAV + cue sheet issue.

They are wave files - what's a cue sheet - how do I fix?

WAV files cannot be properly tagged therefore there is no industry standard for doing so.
CUE sheets are problematic for database programs vs proper file tags.
You can do some general searches on the CUE issues as they relate to SqueezeBox here: http://forums.slimdevices.com
I'd suggest copying one WAV+CUE album in your library to another folder, in the copied folder delete the CUE sheet, then tag those WAV's with a good tagging program like MP3Tag. Rescan the library (or just that newly copied folder), see if the issue is resolved for that one album.

and long term you might consider converting all your WAV files to another lossless format. I prefer FLAC. SB players deal with FLAC natively, good standardized tagging and artwork, etc. dbpoweramp or foobar2000 (or maybe even winamp) can do the conversion for you fairly automatically
