This is for XP 32bit users(SP2 and above)
Go to the Microsoft Gaming Hardware - Download Software and download
Xbox 360 Accessories Software 1.2 32-bit for Windows XP (SP2 or later).
Install and you will be just fine.
For windows 7 users i don't know.This guy had problem with 7 x64.there wasn't any progress yet.
good luck

The same problem here.
With or without extension cable, fresh batteries, xp sp2 professional, english version.
The led blinks for a while upon starting and goes off.
The cd does not seem to have necessary setup info even when attempting to instal manually.
Installation of xbox stuff - how could it work if the device is installed improperly...
EDIT
After a few restarts it is working.
I did instal the xbox driver, but don't know it is what helped.

i have the same problem, after re-install my win 7 64 bits, the driver cant be found, i try a lot of things in foros but cant solve the problem.
what happen whit the support of logitech?, the application f710.exe, its a mediocre solution., the package will end damaged by the get-out and get-in of the batteries.
Please, if someone find a solution, make me know.
