Hello.
I would like to know if its possible to control windows with the F710 wireless controller.
Right now, what i do is create a profile for Google Chrome, to control the mouse and some other keyboard functions with my controller, but when i minimize Google Chrome, the controller stops working, because the profile is linked to that program.
Then i created a profile for windows explorer, and now i can control the desktop and folders.
But like this i would have to create a profile for every program i use, so my question is:
Is it possible to have a "Default Profile" not linked to any application, so that any program that doesn't have a profile created will take this profile???
I hope this is possible, because otherwise i'd be terribly disappointed.
Thanks beforehand...

Hi GrimAngel,
Simply go into Options > Global Profiler Setting and then set the current profile as Persistent, then it will function for everything.

Hi GrimAngel. Although the Logitech Profiler works fine for most cases I recommend you use Xpadder for better windows control.
I've uploaded a profile here for you to use:
Controller File
https://rapidshare.com/files/1732081987/Wireless_G
Windows Profile
https://rapidshare.com/files/1408384908/Windows_Vi
It only works when the gamepad is in D mode (the switch on the back).

Hello Sebastian80,
You can create your own profile to control Windows with the F710. Do the following steps:
- I'm assuming you have the Logitech Profiler Software already installed. If you don't have it installed yet, you can download it from here.
- Next, create a profile. Use this article as a guide in creating a profile. Since you want to use the profile to control Windows, you can select any executable file available on your computer. It won't matter what executable file you choose.
- Set the profile you created as a persistent profile. To set the profile to persistent, do the following:
- Launch the Logitech Profiler Software.
- Click Options.
- Select Global Profile Settings.
- Select Apply persistent profile.
- Choose the profile you created.
- Select the thumbstick you want to use to control the mouse pointer. I personally prefer the right thumbstick, so I'll use it for this example.
- Choose Right Stick X-Axis > Axis Properties, as shown below.

- In the new window that opens (shown below), select "Mouse X-Axis" and click OK.

- Repeat the steps for the Left Stick Y-Axis > Axis Properties.

Hello Sebastian80,
Just click the button you want to use for the left or right mouse click and you will have an option to assign mouse functions to that button (Refer to the image below).

For Windows 7, explorer.exe should work but if it doesn't try using Sidebar.exe from Program files and set the profile to Persistent. But you will have to select option "Start Sidebar with Windows" or add Sidebar.exe to Startup folder in the Start Menu. It works better than other exe files because somehow it stays on top. Hope that helps.
If you want to check out the profiles I have made go here: http://bit.ly/Logitech-Profiles and look for Windows profiles.
I make Logitech Gamepad Profiles. Visit http://bit.ly/Logitech-Gamepad-Profiles

Hi
I use a logitech Wireless Mouse M510 and I've customized it using the Logitech Setpoint Settings with the comands that shown in the picture.
These are the commands that I'd like to put on my controller F710 but I'm not sure how to add these commands.
Especifically the "next" "previous" 'back" and "forward" commands.
With the "next" and "previous" commands I'm able to control my music playing in windows media player even if windows media player is being used in the background.
With the "back" and "forward" commands I'm able to go back to previous web pages I've seen, or forward.
I'd also like help getting a command to help me switch applications. For example. When holding down "alt" + "tab" and keeping "alt" pressed down, all the windows I'm using show up. Now if you keep holding the "alt", you're able to select which windows you want to go to by using keyboard stroke "left" or "right". I'd like my LT and RT to control this. So that one switches to an application left and the other right correspondingly.
Thus far I have configured it with explorer.exe and all the other buttons I've set work perfectly! I also use Windows 7.
