I mainly use my gamepad for zsnes etc. on Win 7. I'd had it in storage for a few months, and when I fired it up, noticed that pressing any of the directions on the d-pad was causing one or two of the other buttons to fire as well. Pressing left would trigger buttons 1 and 3, etc, not only in the application but in profiler as well.
I have already uninstalled/reinstalled the driver and run the Wingman clear utility. Have only seen this issue once through google search. Anyone had/know how to fix this problem, or am I sol?
Don't want to buy a new one, but the truth is that it's a great product, and there's not a lot of alternatives. Just would be great if I could fix this one.
Thanks

Well, I have to amend my original plan due to the overwhelming response for the support community.
I think now I'm gonna just run over it a couple of times and buy a Saitek.
Thanks yall!

I wouldn't waste your petrol/"gas"
I have just experienced this problem, where I was playing GTA EFLC. It was fine last night.
No clue what to do. What is saitech, is it a pad with similar layout? I am NEVER going to buy the xbox-alike controller for win, i want a PS-like controller, wireless preferable

A lot of newer games use Xinput, which is basically Xbox controller configuration for Windows...Fallout 3 is an example. Any other controller is difficult to get working, with a PS3 style controller you have to do a lot of configuration in the software to get it to work on an Xinput game.
As for the OP, it could be a number of issues, try it in a different computer and just open game controllers in control panel, if the problem is still there it's likely broken, if not then you know it's something up with your computer. I'd call support and see what they can do for you.

Same thing happening to me too. But fortunately this happens really rarely so its not like a serious thing, but sometimes if this happens it gets annoying...

I think I solved the problem, but I have to ask you that you have only one controller plugged in?
