Dual Action (G-UF13A) right analog stick calibration problem in Vista

Running Windows Vista Home Basic (32-bit) with the Logitech G-UF13A Dual Action game controller. The right analog stick will consistently revert to an off-center (up and to the right) position regardless of driver or Logitech software version installed. I've seen multiple posts about this particular problem on this controller with no viable solution (the only post I saw marked as a "solution" was a suggestion to disassemble the controller and manually re-center the sticks, which makes no sense whatsoever). I initially installed the Dual Action using the default USB HID drivers in Vista 32-bit. The Game Controllers control panel in Vista appeared to show everything fine with default calibration. However, multiple applications were having difficulty with "spinning" or other incorrect movements with the controller enabled. After updating the Logitech gaming software to 5.10.127, the issue persists, and the "new" Logitech Dual Action Properties windows shows something odd: Initially, the right stick will appear completely centered, but touching any button or stick/pad on the controller with automatically revert the right stick to its "default" off-center (up and to the right) position. This appears to mirror what happens in applications where the "spinning" starts as soon as a button is pushed or the controller is enabled. I have purged and reinstalled the drivers (both original Windows HID version and the "new" Logitech 5.10 version) with no luck. I also ran the clrCalib.exe utility to clean up any possible corrupted calibration data. It found the original set of data my initial calibration attempts created and cleared them successfully, but the issue persisted as soon as I reopened the Game Controllers control panel to test the Dual Action. I have ruled out hardware problems on the computer by reproducing this issue on an unrelated Vista Professional (32-bit) laptop with the same controller and software versions. This is happening in all applications/games with game controller support as well as the OS's control panel applet, and I have previously used this controller on a computer running Windows XP Professional with the originally-supplied drivers without this problem occurring, so I am forced to assume it is an ongoing compatibility problem with Windows Vista. Any suggestions?

Re: Dual Action (G-UF13A) right analog stick calibration problem in Vista

Hello TsarBomba

Try to check too if it might be a possible conflict with a 3rd party software. Run msconfig and disable all start up programs except for the Logitech Profiler.

Hope this helps.
